What happens when you hit a limit

Nothing breaks and nothing gets deleted. Each meter stops the thing it pays for and
everything else carries on.

When AI generations run out

New indexing runs are refused, with the message "Monthly AI generation limit reached.
Upgrade to continue."

Everything else keeps working. Products you've already indexed keep their knowledge
bases, the widget stays live on those pages, and Arus AI carries on answering
shoppers out of its own separate allowance. Editing a knowledge base by hand still
works, since hand edits are free.

If you run out partway through a bulk index, the products that already finished are
indexed and keep their knowledge bases. The rest stay Not indexed, and you can
come back to them next cycle or after upgrading. You don't pay twice for the ones
that completed.

When AI replies run out

Arus AI stops answering. Shoppers see:

Our assistant is taking a short break — please try an AI app below.

The widget stays on the page and the other providers keep working, so the shopper
still gets an answer, just from ChatGPT or Claude instead of from you. That's a good
reason to leave at least one external provider switched on even when Arus AI is your
default.

Other messages shoppers might see

"You're sending messages quickly — please wait a moment." Rate limiting. Real
shoppers don't trigger it; it's there to stop someone burning through your allowance.

"This conversation has gotten long — please reload to start fresh." One
conversation hit its length cap. Reloading starts a new one.

"Live chat isn't available on this store right now." Arus AI is switched off, or
isn't available on your current plan.

Getting more

Both meters reset at the start of each 30-day billing cycle. To lift them sooner,
upgrade from Billing in the app. The new allowance applies immediately, and your
used count carries over rather than resetting.
